Service Learning provides opportunities for youth to learn, grow and develop through community service activities. Service Learning offers youth the chance to utilize their leadership skills and there character traits in real and meaningful ways.
WHY DO WE NEED SERVICE LEARNING
Community service learning opportunities are proving to be extremely effective ways for impacting youth learning and character building.
Service Learning is the most successful way to move from knowledge to the internalization of wanting to do the right thing for the right reason. This means making the right choices when no one is watching and when it may even mean personal sacrifice or cost. Service learning is a key component to building character.
