AgriHealth Program
AgriHealth provides agricultural health and safety programming for the agricultural-farming community. Occupational health statistics indicate that farming is one of the most dangerous occupations in our country, yet additionally, farmers have received minimal assistance in regard to occupational health and safety programming. Farmers suffer from higher rates of illnesses, including respiratory diseases, back injuries, pesticide toxicity, skin cancers and accidents/injuries. AgriHealth offers farmers health education and safety programs as well as comprehensive health screening services. The Trinity Health Partners AgriHealth program is an affiliate of the University of Iowa's Center for Agricultural Health and Safety. Trinity Health Partners at Trinity Regional Medical Center is one of seven AgriHealth programs in Iowa.
AgriHealth is partnering with the Webster County/I.S.U. Extension Service to provide coordinated health and safety programming for farmers in the north central-northwest Iowa region. |
