Mid Iowa Regional Authority provides income-based rent assistance to eligible families, elderly, and disabled individuals. The organization serves a six county area, offering the HUD (Department of Housing and Urban Development) Section 8 rent assistance program. The area served includes the following counties: Calhoun, Hamilton, Humboldt, Pocahontas, Webster(excluding the city of Fort Dodge), and Wright. Family Self-Sufficiency Program. To assist families to work toward self-sufficiency. Program Called: Families Seeking Success. Participant sets up a plan of goals and objectives with coordinator. An added feature is an escrow account based on increase in earned income and funded by HUD money. Coordinator is Kelly Maguire.
