The Family Self-Sufficiency program is available to individuals or families receiving Section 8 rental assistance. Our goal is to assist in obtaining job training, education, transportation, etc., depending on the family's needs. As the family begins employment and the earned income increases, the rent will increase. The benefit of being enrolled in the FSS program is that the difference in the amount of the Housing Assistance Payment when first entering FSS and the current amount is put into an escrow (savings) account. Money available upon completion of program.
