North Central Iowa Critical Stress Management Team exists to provide services to agencies whose personnel has experienced a traumatic event. Typically, team responds to provide debriefing to Emergency personnel (e.g., EMS, Fire/Rescue, Police, etc.) who have been called an given aid in a traumatic event. Debriefing serves to support personnel with confidential setting to talk about the event and affect it has had on them. Participants of debriefing find it easier to accept stress and be more quickly prepared for future duty.
