Program/Service Notes:
In-Home Family Counseling is a purchase of service program through DHS (Dept. of Human Services). It is part of Iowa's reasonable efforts program to keep children in the home. Clients are children who are at risk of continuing abuse or of being placed outside the home. A Children and Families of Iowa (CFI) counselor works with the child and family within the home environment to determine strengths and needs of the child and family, establish goals and objectives and assist the child and family in meeting their goals.
