Program/Service Notes:
Through the Family Nutrition Program families learn how to eat healthier, stretch their food dollars, set a spending plan, feed their children well, and plan and enjoy family mealtime. Pregnant teens and young adults learn how to eat healthy during pregnancy, gain enough weight, avoid alcohol and other drugs, and feed the baby after birth. The free lessons are presented weekly in one hour sessions to small groups or on a one-to-one basis by, ISU Webster County Extension Family Nutrition Program Assistant. Typically, the lessons are covered in 6-8 sessions at your home or at a community agency. Youth lessons are also available. Six lessons are provided for grades K-6.
