Foster Grandparent Program matches income eligible people 60 and older with children with special or exceptional needs (ages infant to 21) in various supervised non-profit locations. These senior volunteers assist children an average of 20 hours each week and provide one-on-one care and attention. They receive a modest hourly stipend to enable them to assist children at no cost to themselves. FGP's also receive a meal each volunteer day, transportation if needed, and insurance while volunteering.
*Must meet low income requirements (125% of federal poverty level) to qualify for stipend - non-stipended volunteers may be placed if over income, some medical deductions are allowed.
