It is the mission of Elderbridge to enable older Iowans to live with the maximum possible dignity, well-being, and independence. Elderbridge accomplishes this through the following: Provide information and assistance services for older Iowans and their caregivers Assess current needs of older Iowans Assess available services, programs, and institutions Develop plans to help address service gaps Assure access to services, programs, and institutions Advocate for the needs of older Iowans Finance and administer contracts to direct providers of services Provide a central leadership role for older Iowans Elderbridge also responds to local needs including the accessing of services for adult day care, chore services, homemaker services, health aides, meal sites, respite care for caregivers, well elderly clinics, transportation, and home repair.
