The National Multiple Sclerosis Society (NMSS) is dedicated to ending the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis. The NMSS, North Central States Chapter, provides a broad range of programs, service and information for people with MS, their families and friends, professionals, and the public. Information and Referrals: Free brochures and information on symptoms, treatment, research, drugs and life issues. Referrals to medical professionals, service providers, and advocates. Educational Programs: Loan Library with books, audio and video cassettes: newsletters, programs for the newly diagnosed, professional education, programs state-wide for people with MS and the public. Service Programs: Self-help groups throughout the state. Volunteer Opportunities: Legislative advocacy, programs, and fund raising events including: MS WALK, Cycle for the Cure, A Taste of Generosity (wine auction), MS 150 Bike Ride.
