Red Cross swimming lessons are provided through the City of Fort Dodge Recreation Department at Oleson and Expo pools during the summer season. Lessons are also provided at Fuller Hall in Webster City, year-round. Pre-registration and payment is required in advance. Red Cross training for lifeguards and Water Safety Instructors is also provided through the City Recreation Department. Training is scheduled on demand with a minimum of 6 students in each course. Swimming lessons are also offered during the school year at Fair Oaks and Phillips Middle Schools through the physical education program. Red Cross lifeguard training is also offered at Fort Dodge Senior High School as part of the physical education curriculum.
