Program/Service Notes:
A variety of programs and services are available through the Red Cross to educate the general public on health and safety issues. Some programs offer complimentary medical care, such as First Aid Stations and Blood Pressure Screenings for community events. Other direct service programs include training in Bloodborne Pathogens and Preventing Disease Transmission of communicable diseases. All registered courses meet the requirements of OSHA. Brochures and presentations on HIV/AIDS education prevention are also available. Medical supplies in pre-packaged First Aid Kits and protective barriers for CPR can be purchased at the Red Cross office. A variety of textbooks, brochures and posters on health and safety education are available for distribution and purchase.
