The purpose of the Webster County Historical Society is to disseminate information of the County's history and to promote the appreciation of our cultural, social, religious, intellectual, and economic heritage. Our main activities are : 1. Monthly informational meetings 2. Maintenance of the Coffin family gravesite, National Historic Registry site. 3. Maintenance of a historical library: hours are Mon.-Wed.-Fri. 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, other hours by appointment 4. Research and publication of historical materials 5. Maintenance of Fort Dodge and Webster County related archives. 6. Extensive collection of Fort Dodge related photographs.
