The American Lung Association of Iowa is a leader in the fight against lung disease. The mission of the Lung Association is the control and prevention of lung disease through education, advocacy and research. Several programs are offered in the areas of smoking prevention and cessation, asthma management and education and chronic lung disease. With the generous support of the public and the help of volunteers, the American Lung Association of Iowa (ALAI) has seen many advances against lung disease. However, the ALAI's work is not finished. The American Lung Association of Iowa will continue to strive to make breathing easier for everyone because...when you can't breathe, nothing else matters.
