The National Kidney Foundation of Iowa is a statewide organization that provides public and professional education, and patient services for the over 1700 dialysis patients in the state, as well as the nearly 300 people waiting for a life-saving organ transplant. The organization also supports research efforts through its national organization. Information and referral is provided at no charge to anyone interested. The National Kidney Foundation of Iowa has a library of free publications ranging from kidney disease to organ transplantation. Also, videos are available to check out. These are perfect for individuals looking for more information or for groups needing a presentation or handouts.
