FaDSS is an acronym for Family Development and Self-Sufficiency. FaDSS is a voluntary program designed to give in-home support services to families from a certified Family Development Specialist. FaDSS will help families overcome issues such as poverty, illness, depression, alcoholism, learning disabilities, low reading levels, and victimization and violence. FaDSS will help to empower families by looking to their individual strengths to achive self-sufficiency, job retention, and economic stability. FaDSS will emphasize the value of work and the security employment can bring. FaDSS provides to families many activities and education, such as parenting and nutrition classes, information on budgeting and safety.
