The Mid-America Council is the local council of the Boy Scouts of America serving Western Iowa, Northeastern Neb, & Union Co., SD, although the council service center is based in Omaha, NE, a local District Executive is based in Fort Dodge. This Fort Dodge office services the counties of Webster, Calhoun, Humboldt, Pocahontas & Kossuth. Information on how boys living in these counties can join scouting can be obtained by calling the District Executive, Sean O'Connor, at his district office. The Mid-America Council is a member agency of the United Way of Fort Dodge.
