Program/Service Notes:
The Center is to provide education, cultural understanding, social interaction, and information on employment opportunities. Presently, there are over 30 new Iowan groups represented in Webster County who may benefit from a variety of workshops, classes, and information provided through the Center. There is also an opportunity for the citizens of Webster County to develop an awareness and understanding of our new Iowans through study groups, and seminars, which promote interaction and celebration of our community's diversity. Services provided: Free Classes: English as a second language, GED preparation, Adult Literacy (Call Ann Waynar-515-576-0099 ext 1959), Command Spanish (Call Patty Croonquist 515-576-0099 ext. 1175). The funding for the Multicultural Center comes from the following sources: Iowa Department of Economic Development, Iowa Central Community College, and the Iowa State Extension Office.
